Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on 10 August 2015 launched a new mobile app named Disha to promote digital literacy in Bihar.
About Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA)
• The Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) mission was launched on 21 August 2014 with an aim to provide digital literacy to non IT literate citizens.
• The scheme imparts IT training to 52.5 lakh persons that include Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorised ration dealers in all the States/UTs across the country.
• The training is conducted in collaboration with Intel, which is working with the Common Service Centres (CSCs) for the purpose of digital literacy in India. So far Intel has trained over 200 Dalit women.

The Union Minister for Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla on 8 August 2015 launched a new Central Sector Scheme Nai Manzil in Patna.
Highlights of the scheme
• The scheme gives a new direction and a new goal for the all out of school or dropped out students and those studying in Madrasas. It is so because they will not be getting formal Class XII and Class X Certificates rendering them largely un employed in organised sector.
• The Nai Manzil scheme is aimed at this target group as an integrated intervention in terms of providing education as well as skill development.
• It aims at providing educational intervention by giving the bridge courses to the trainees and getting them Certificates for Class XII and X from distance medium educational system.
• It will also provide them trade basis skill training in 4 courses including Manufacturing, Engineering, Services and Soft skills.
• The scheme is intended to cover people in between 17 to 35 age group from all minority communities as well as Madrasa students.
• It will provide avenues for continuing higher education and also open up employment opportunities in the organised sector.

केंद्रीय अल्पसंख्यक मामलों की मंत्री डॉ. नजमा हेपतुल्ला ने नई केंद्रीय क्षेत्र योजना ‘नई मंजिल’ का पटना में 8 अगस्त 2015 को शुभारंभ किया.
नई मंजिल योजना सामान्य रूप से अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों, विशेष रूप से मुसलमानों की शैक्षिक और जीविकोपार्जन की जरूरतों में सहायता प्रदान करेगी, क्योंकि मुसलमान शैक्षिक योग्यताओं में अन्य अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों से पीछे हैं. यह योजना स्कूल से बाहर आए या बीच में ही पढ़ाई छोड़ चुके सभी छात्रों और मदरसों में पढ़ने वाले छात्रों के लिए एक नई दिशा और एक नया लक्ष्य प्रदान करती है. ऐसा इसलिए है कि ऐसे छात्रों को कक्षा 12 और कक्षा 10 के औपचारिक प्रमाणपत्र नहीं मिलते हैं, जिसके कारण वे बहुतायत से संगठित क्षेत्रों में बेरोजगार रहते हैं. नई मंजिल योजना का उद्देश्य इसी लक्षित समूह पर है क्योंकि शिक्षा के साथ-साथ कौशल विकास उपलब्ध कराने के रूप में यह एकीकृत भागीदारी है.

About School Nursery Yojana
• The Yojana in its first phase would cover 1000 schools and would be extended to 5000 schools in 2016 and 10000 schools the following year.
• Under the Yojana, students will grow saplings as part of practical exercise for biology classes and extra-curriculum activities.
• The schools will have eco clubs and school principals will maintain the nursery for at least five years.
• Each school will initially receive first time financial grant of 25000 rupees for creation of the nursery with essential facilities.
• The state forest departments will guide and provide technical support to schools under the scheme.

केंद्र सरकार ने छात्रों को प्रकृति से जोड़ने हेतु स्कूल नर्सरी योजना लांच की

स्कूल नर्सरी योजना के बारे में
- योजना के पहले चरण में 1000 स्कूलों को इसमें शामिल किया जाएगा और वर्ष 2016 तक 5000 स्कूलों तक इसे विस्तारित किया जाएगा और उसके बाद 10000 स्कूलों तक इसका विस्तार होगा.
- स्कूल नर्सरी योजना के तहत छात्र जीव विज्ञान की प्रायोगिक कक्षाओं और पाठ्येतर गतिविधियों के तहत पौधा लगाएंगे.
- स्कूलों के पर्यावरण क्लबों और स्कूलों के प्रिंसिपलों को कम से कम पांच वर्ष के लिए नर्सरी को बनाए रखना होगा.
- प्रत्येक स्कूल को शुरु में आवश्यक सुविधाओं के साथ नर्सरी के निर्माण के लिए पहली बार 25000 रुपये का वित्तीय अनुदान प्राप्त होगा.
